One of the first departments opened after the foundation of Yalova University in 2008 is the Department of Computer Engineering. The department currently has 1 professor, 2 associate professors, 5 doctor lecturers, 3 lecturers and 4 research assistants. In the first year of the education process in the Department of Computer Engineering, undergraduate education is given for 4 years after the optional English preparatory education. Students who are successful in the foreign language exemption exam can directly start their undergraduate education. In the first year of undergraduate education, basic engineering courses are given in the fields of mathematics and science. In the third year, mainly computer programming courses such as programming, operating systems and computer networks are taught. In the last year of the education process, besides the vocational field courses, a graduation project is made for the student. During the education period, students do internships in computer and data centers of various private or public institutions for a total of 60 days, each of which is at least 20 working days. In addition, students of ERASMUS have the opportunity to study for a short period of time in other Computer Engineering Departments at European universities.
